Originally supposed to be the fourth released album by American rock band Love, tensions and disagreements between the group members led to the downfall of this project. Set to be released in 1968 after the groups 1967 masterpiece "Forever Changes", Arthur Lee continued the same writing and introspective song style along with the band's classic funk/spanish rock vibes. With a little kick, "Out Here" takes the listener all over the universe from one genre to the next. With this alternate track list, the album has more structure and consistency lacking from the original set list that tracked similar to a compilation album. Not included in the original tracklist are songs such as "I'll Pray For You" and "I Still Wonder" originally removed and added to their next album, "Four Sail". The highlights on this album are "Doggone" with a fantastic nine minute drum solo as well as "Love is More than Words or Better Late Than Never" with a innovative Jimi Hendrix style jam. This is definitely an underrated album and rare for its time and proves that the creative juices in Arthur Lee still flowed passed the dissolution of the original Love.
